Samuel Manzoni is born in Vercelli on 4th June 1983. He's married to art since he was teen, attending Novara's Art School; it's in this very ambient that he starts cultivating his passion for music, painting and literature. He soon begins writing poems, short stories, simple thoughts joining occasional rock bands as a singer. After some years this closed, somehow enigmatic soul finds in folk music the vocation. 2003 is a year of changes, he buys a guitar and leaves for a summer holiday in London. When he comes back he decides to attend the University of Bologne; a choice that will mark a milestone for his artistic maturation. He soon starts playing as lead guitarist in the band called "Notti Bolognesi" (Bologne's Nights), covering Italian songwriters. During this period he writes his own songs and creates, with the help of his university mate Alberto Ivan Guizzo, the "Brown Sugar". After 3 years of intense work with the band and two recordings ("Three Lumps" in 2007 and "Summer Session" in 2009), he knows that the moment to start with his solo project has come. In May 2009 recording sessions for "Naked" begin. This work, parallel to the one with the band, rises from the demand of lightening up the more intimate, solitary side of the author, gathering, at the same time, his musical passions and his personal experiences as in the best british and american songwriting tradition.

My biggest interests are music, visual arts, poetry, Russian literature, Opera, "virtuoso" guitarists, the blues highway, jazz, Mozart, Mexico, movies of Cronenberg, Tarantino, Truffaut and much, much more!
