I'm a Dutch bloke, born april 19th 1976 and music is my profession. I studied at the Brabants Conservatory with jazz as my major and classical guitar as my minor. I graduated in 1999. Since summer 2001 I play guitar in this little Dutch orchestra called Within Temptation. Other than that I'm pretty busy writing music for my own project called "For All We Know". I'm not easily satisfied and very critical but I'm gonna try to upload a song, or a part of a song on my MySpace before the end of the year. Hopefully hehehe I grew up listening to country and bluegrass music. That's why I still love it and why I started to play the Dobro and mandolin a couple of years ago. This is just a hobby because unfortunately I don't have that much time for that style of music. Maybe when I'm old... My friends have this Iron Maiden Tribute band called Up The Irons and when I'm in the country and have the time, I join them on stage for a couple of songs. Always nice to do. And together with the bassist of UTI, Joey Bruers, I'm working on an acoustic Iron Maiden album. That project is called Maiden United. That's gonna be really cool as well... Occasionally I teach. At the music school in my hometown Tilburg (Factorium Tilburg) Or as a guest teacher at some conservatories in the country. I love to teach and hopefully I can tell my students some useful stuff. I'm a big StarWars fan (especially episodes IV, V, VI) and I like the Middle Earth Collectible Cardgame (comparable to the famous 'Magic - The Gathering game). Yes, I can be a nerd sometimes ;-) Besides that I try to read as much as possible. Mostly fiction but also some scientific stuff. Nothing too heavy though. (Right now I'm reading "Lunar Park" by Bret Easton Ellis) I guess you get an idea of who I am...
