Working alone, in small quarters in South Africa with not much more than a microphone, a bass guitar and a home computer, Jake Childs managed to craft an album sui generis. Using the textures of industrial music, the album is lush in synthetic sounds and mechanical otherworlds. In spite of this decidedly industrial undertaking, you may have come to know Morning Star in a very different context. Working for over 3 years sporadically to finish this piece, Jake is better known as an international, globe trotting DJ. Traveling through the Europe, Russia, the United States and more, his reputation as a top notch producer and DJ gave him entrée to the international nightlife scene. His contributions to modern house music are significant.
