At the age of nine he ventured toward the school orchestra where he became the sole upright bass-player. He got his first electric guitar in Junior High and began what his parents hoped was only a passing fad. Since 1998. he has been the rhythm/lead guitarist and majority songwriter/arranger/producer of the national touring rock band, COURT JESTER; of which he also formed from the ground up. COURT JESTER'S debut album, "Gina", was released in 2003 on Cellar Records and saw critical acclaim for their efforts. January 2006 saw the release of their sophomore album, "Strangeland", which features Dizzy Reed of Guns N' Roses on keyboards. "Strangeland" hit hard upon release, landing the guys two hit singles right on top of each other, but in completely different formats & audience demographics, and at the major market level radio stations; "Hollywood Girl" at the Loud Rock & Classic Rock/Rock Formats and "Needless To Say" at the Adult Contemporary Formats. James has a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in Radio Broadcast Communications and he went back to college for an advanced degree, earning him a Masters of Arts Degree in Education. In his tenure in radio, James worked on-air in Chicagoland radio at many stations and many positions: • music rotation disc jockey & a 4-hour late night Talk Show; Promotions & Marketing Director
